David is a principal of Ascendant. Previously, David sourced and developed over 4,000 units in the multifamily space.  Prior to that, he was Managing Director at Stout Risius Ross Advisors, LLC where he specialized in real estate investment banking and provided a broad range of financing, advisory, and investment services to real estate operating and development companies.

Richard is a principal of Ascendant. Richard’s experience includes owning and developing over 5,000 units in the multifamily space. Previously, Richard served as General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Investments at Asset Living, a third-party property manager of over 60,000 units and 140,000 student housing beds throughout the US, Mexico and Colombia, as well as a developer and acquirer of student housing and multifamily assets.

Sterling is the President of Ascendant Construction. Sterling has more than 25 years of construction management experience primarily in the multi-family industry, and has been involved in the construction of over 15,000 units. Sterling began his career as an assistant superintendent in 1998 and has managed multifamily construction projects from every construction position.
